Youda Survivor 2 HD is a great time management game with a colorfully unique twist. Sound effects are minimal yet effective and I really enjoyed the tropical native music that brought back fond memories of the Monkey Island games. The menus and interface are easy to understand and use and the main map screen is awesome. I loved the color and charming art style with cute animated animals, detailed landscapes, and nice special effects like rain that drips down the screen. While simple in concept, the game can get quite challenging by the time you get to the second half of the 100 levels it offers, and Siege mode will be the ultimate test in your time and resource management skills, but you’ll need to finish the main game to unlock it. Creatures and human enemies will pillage the screen creating chaos and doing damage that you will need to heal, for if you run out of energy the game is over. You’ll be hastily tapping on milk bottles and accidentally tap an egg, taking it away from the goat that was about to eat it. The game plays out in real-time, which creates some unique intensity. And the game not only encourages you, but rewards you for replaying levels and besting your previous efforts. Fend off pirates with your trusty sword and capture crabs with a click of your mouse. Care for a variety of animals and convert the goods they produce into an assortment of products.
